Before the outside was crumbly and had a nice taste and texture. These new ones, the outside is made from a much finer flour and goes gummy in your mouth quickly. They also reduced the amount of blueberry filling and pressed the bar into a different shape. Health Valley has some nerve to not even note the change on the outside of the package anywhere. I discovered in the more recent reviews that users of the earlier version of this product agree that there has been a major change for the worse -- with no change in packaging. IMHO, the current version tastes more like a fig bar: it's virtually impossible to taste even a hint of blueberry flavor. The filling's appearance locks exactly like a generic compressed brown fruit mash -- nothing like the juicy blueberry colored filling in the package photo. I would not buy these again. The original price on this was over 20 dollars, do these people think their stuff is that good? Or is this an intentional deception towards the customer? I think amazon needs to review these people. This so called "6 pack" went on sale, and being a poor individual who was given a gift card, I was glad to find such a wonderful deal. When I received the box today (I ordered 2 of the 6 pack which on most orders would have been 12 boxes) I wasn't sure if it was the right order because the box was small and light. When I opened the box, I was disheartened to find that there were only 2 boxes, with 6 bars each. HAD I NOT BEEN MISLED BY THIS COMPANY, I WOULD HAVE ORDERED SOMETHING I ALREADY KNEW I LIKED, AND NOT TAKEN A CHANCE ON A DIFFERENT COMPANY. If you are looking to spend way more for way less, this is for you. If not, find another company to order from. |
